Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin has repealed the provision of paid Gotong Royong Vaccination for individuals by issuing Regulation of Minister of Health Number 23 of 2021 on Third Amendment to Regulation of Minister of Health Number 10 of 2021 on Vaccination to Handle the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic.

The ministerial regulation signed on 28 July 2021 is an amendment to Regulation of Minister of Health Number 19 of 2021, which includes rules on paid vaccination for individuals through Gotong Royong Vaccination scheme.

With the amendment, COVID-19 vaccination continues to be carried out using the previous mechanism, which is free for all people of Indonesia through the national COVID-19 vaccination program and Gotong Royong Vaccination program funded by companies.

Gotong Royong Vaccination for companies only uses Sinopharm vaccine and aims approximately 7.5 million people above 18 years old. This scheme is different from the free national COVID-19 vaccination program that uses Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, Sinopharm, and Novavax vaccines and aims more than 200 million people above 12 years old.
