Health protocols will be strictly implemented when President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo visit East Java province for a working visit on Thursday (25/6) – the first President’s visit during the new normal.

“The Presidential Secretariat will strictly implement health protocols. First, the President’s entourage, including Cabinet Ministers, Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres), and other stakeholders will undergo rapid tests,” Head of Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono said at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta.

According to Heru, the number of Presidential aircraft passengers will be limited to half of the capacity.

The Presidential Aircraft, he added, usually accommodate up to 55 passengers in each trip but the capacity will be reduced to 25 passengers amid the ongoing pandemic.

“We continue to implement the security protocol. The other groups will depart earlier so that the capacity of the aircraft will be reduced to 50 percent,” he said, while expressing hope that the President’s first working visit during the new normal can run smoothly by implementing the prevailing health protocols.

“We hope the first visit of the President i the new normal can be followed by other economic activities that must take into account the implementation of health protocols. We certainly hope it will run well,” Heru said. (BPMI/EN)
