According to Hengki, the rule will apply on Jakarta-Cikampek-East Brebes toll roads, Jakarta-Purbaleunyi toll roads, Merak-Jakarta toll roads, Prof. Soediyatmo toll road, Gilimanuk-Denpasar national roads, and Surabaya-Jombang-Kertosono-Madiun-Surakarta national roads.

However, the rule shall not apply to tank truck, natural gas vehicle, livestock vehicle, as well as vehicle carrying staple food (rice, sugar, flour, cooking oil, chili pepper, shallot, nut, soy bean, beef, chicken meat, fresh fish, and egg), fertilizer, fresh milk, postal items, and raw material for export/import from industry sectors that are transported to and from export/import seaports.

Hengki also said that traffic flow arrangement will be conducted by carrying out traffic management and engineering, including having traffic control at the intersection and roads, installing traffic signs, traffic signal equipment, as well as installing temporary road users’ control and security devices.

Regarding the time of the restriction, Hengki added that it may be evaluated based on the consideration of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). “In the event of disruption of traffic flow and means of transportation, the Heads of Department of Transportation in their respective posts will immediately take anticipatory and proactive measures, and coordinate with the Directorate General for Land Transportation and Polri”, Hengki concluded.
