Home Affairs Minister Asks Regional Governments to Improve Public Services Before Eid

Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo called on regional governments to focus on improving their performance and the quality of public services ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

“Regional governments are ordered to improve public services ahead of Eid al-Fitr,” the Minister said in Jakarta, Thursday (23/5).

Tjahjo also asked them to ensure safety, to provide convenience, and to maintain public order in welcoming the Muslim festival.

“Regional governments have to ensure that public services can run smoothly before Eid,” Tjahjo said.

He also expressed hope that all regional heads can be more active in coordinating the Integrated Eid Al-Fitr Command Posts.

“The Regional Heads must actively report and manage the posts in their respective regions so that the whole preparation of the upcoming celebration can be well-monitored,” he firmly said.
