House, Gov’t Announce Rehabilitation of State-Owned Ferry Operator Officials

Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya Tuesday (11/25) held a joint press statement at the Presidential Palace in Central Jakarta to address public concerns and outline follow-up measures regarding the legal proceedings involving several executives of state-owned ferry operator PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry.
According to Dasco, the House of Representative through its Law Affairs Commission, has conducted an comprehensive review of the case, which has been under investigation since July last year.
“The results of that legal review were then submitted to the Government, specifically concerning case number 68/Pid.Sus-TPK/2025/PN.Jkt.Pst involving Ira Puspadewi, Muhammad Yusuf Hadi, and Muhammad Adhi Caksono,” Dasco said.
Dasco also emphasized that intensive communication between the House of Representative and the Government led to a significant decision announced today.
“Following our discussions with the Government, we are grateful that today President Prabowo Subianto has signed a rehabilitation decree for the three individuals,” he added.
In the meantime, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi detailed the Government’s internal assessment process leading up to the rehabilitation decision.
“Every case brought to our attention, and there are many, undergoes thorough analysis and review from multiple perspectives, including assessments from legal experts,” Prasetyo said.
Following the House of Representatives’ formal request for rehabilitation, Minister of Law submitted a recommendation letter to the President, and the Head of State subsequently decided to exercise his authority to grant rehabilitation to the three ASDP officials.
