All fractions of the House of Representatives (DPR), in a plenary meeting on Thursday (5/9), have agreed to revise Law Number 30 of 2002 on the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

In a meeting led by the House’s Deputy Speaker Utut Adianto, all members attending the meeting have agreed on the revision on the Law. There was no objection from any member present at the plenary meeting.

On different occasion, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said that he has not been informed about the contents revised in the Law.

“It is the House’s initiative. I don’t yet know about the contents,” President Jokowi told reporters after distributing land certificates to the people, at Rumah Radakng, Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Thursday (5/9).

The President went on to say that the KPK in the 2015-2019 period has performed well. (FID/RAH/ES)
