Assistant Deputy for Human Relations and Protocol of Cabinet Secretariat paid a media visit to Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, on Thursday (3/5).

In the visit, Director of Kendari Pos La Ode Diada Nebansi, conveyed that the media he leads is a member of Jawa Pos Group. “Kendari Pos is the first and the biggest media in Southeast Sulawesi. Its current circulation has covered all Southeast Sulawesi, first started with only 4 regencies/cities and now 17 regencies/cities,” La Ode Diada described.

Nationally, according to La Ode Diada, Kendari Pos works together with JPNN (Jawa Pos National Network), as a huge media group. As for news report, La Ode Diada further said, Kendari Pos is ready to assist, most importantly, for communities and state’s interests. “Taking part in releasing constructive news,” La Ode Diada said.

Social and online media were only at the beginning, La Ode Diada said in his last statement, print media has a bargaining power, therefore until today we survive. “To anticipate hoax, Kendari Pos has set up a special rubric,” La Ode Diada said while stressed to give more trust on print media.

Before visiting Kendari Pos, officials of Human Relations and Protocol of Cabinet Secretariat met officials of Regional Office of Communication and Information (Diskominfo) at Office Head of Diskominfo, Kendari.

The Head Office of North Sulawesi, Kusnadi uttered that Diskominfo was founded in 2016 consisting of 4 divisions and 1 secretary. Diskominfo is responsible for preparing Information Technology roadmap and information infrastructure. Coordination with other related elements and technical divisions, Kusnadi further said, is the key to accelerate this year’s programs with a budget of of Rp3.197 billion including honorarium for Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID). Infrastructure network construction and data center, information technology master plan, and encoding equipments, according to Kusnadi, are the main programs to be completed.

“The tasks of Human Relations and Protocol of Cabinet Secretariat is to disseminate the activities of the President, the Cabinet Secretary, as well as the Cabinet Secretariat,” Assistant Deputy for Human Relations and Protocol of Cabinet Secretariat, Al Furkon Setiawan, said while acknowledging that this year Cabinet Secretariat held media social competition.

Presented in the media visit were Head of Regional Office of Communication and Information of North Sulawesi Kusnadi, Director of Kendari Pos La Ode Diada Nebansi, Editor in Chief Arifuddin Mangka, Editor Buero Sawaluddin Lakawa, Managing Editor Inong Saputra, Managing Editor Kendari Online La Ode Iman, and Kendari Pos Editors: Darwin Sihombing (Southeast Sulawesi Rubric), Hasruddin (Metropolis), Emilia Ninsih (Business and Education), and Ramadan (Sport).
