Newly appointed President Director of the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) Board of Directors Ridha Wirakusumah is committed to working professionally with highest integrity and good governance.

“We will strictly and surely manage INA with highest integrity and applicable governance so that we can carry out our duties properly and correctly,” Ridha said at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Tuesday (16/02).

In addition, Ridha also stated that he would strive to create a comfortable and convincing investment climate to lure investors to partake in the country’s development programs.

“We will work hard to lure foreign and domestic investors to participate with us to faster develop Government programs so that the financing will be smoother and more comprehensive, as well as ease the burden of financing or loans which of course are part of the development,” he said.

INA will also strive to increase and optimize value of investments managed in the long term in order to support sustainable development.

He also emphasized that the funds to be managed are not in the form of loans but capital or investment. “What we are looking for is capital funds, not loan funds. Funds which, if possible, have added value, funds which come from sources with good and clean governance,” he said.

All the funds that will be entrusted to the management of INA, Ridha added, are expected to continue to grow so that they become endowment funds and sustainable funds to prosper future generations.

He also affirmed that INA would continue the steps that have been implemented and seek potential development projects in order to lure global investors. (DND/UN) (FI/MUR)
