Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani on Thursday (14/2) met with Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen at Peace Palace, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

During the meeting, Puan expressed gratitude for humanitarian assistance from the Cambodian Government for Tsunami victims in Central Sulawesi and for condolence message over Sunda Strait Tsunami disaster.

Puan added that Indonesia and Cambodia will commemorate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year and that the relations between peoples of the two countries will become stronger.

The Coordinating Minister went on to say that Indonesia-Cambodia cooperation has manifested in education, sports, youth and cultural exchanges, including youth and student exchange. “Indonesia also seeks to improve cultural exchanges and tourist exchanges between the two countries,” Puan said, adding that the people-to-people relations can strengthen solidarity and friendship of the people of the two countries.

During her visit to Cambodia, Puan also attended Indonesia-Cambodia Joint Cultural Performance in Chaktomouk, Wednesday (13/2) and is also scheduled to visit Royal Palace and National Museum of Cambodia today. (Humas Kemenko PMK/ES)
