Indonesia, India Agree Upon Partnership in Multiple Sectors

President Prabowo Subianto and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi witnessed the exchange of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between the governments of Indonesia and India at Hyderabad House in New Delhi, India, on Saturday (01/25) following the two leaders’ bilateral meeting.
“In our discussion, we agreed to strengthen cooperation on trade, investment, tourism, healthcare, energy, security partnership, AI, digital IT, [and] energy,” he said in a joint press statement with his Indian counterpart.
On that occasion, the two countries have agreed upon five cooperation documents, namely:
- Memorandum of Understanding on Healthcare Cooperation between the Ministry of Health of Indonesia and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Republic of India;
- Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Traditional Medicine Quality Assurance between the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority and Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy;
- Memorandum of Understanding on Digital Development Cooperation between the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Republic of India;
- Memorandum of Understanding on Maritime Safety and Security Cooperation between the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency and Indian Coast Guard;
- Cultural Exchange Program between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Culture of the Republic of India for 2025-2028 Period. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/ABD) (DH/MMB)
