Indonesia, India Forges Shared Future Through Common Values

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto Tuesday (07/07) held a state luncheon for Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi at the State Palace, Jakarta. The luncheon is part of events organized during PM Modi’s visit to Indonesia which also reflected close friendship between Indonesia and India.

The event was enlivened with Indonesia’s rich culinary showcase and cultural performances, introducing the country’s diverse tradition to India. Both delegates showed warm interaction and strong commitment to further stronger people-to-people relation.

The luncheon took place after both leaders had a bilateral meeting at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. In his introductory remarks, President Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the intensive and productive meeting.

“We have reached a remarkable achievement. We are committed to translating this commitment into concrete action which will bring benefits to both peoples,” he said.

Indonesia and India share historical and similar identity which have been established for centuries. According to the President, the culture, history, and civilization of Indonesia are highly influenced by Hindu culture and Indian civilization.
