As the only ASEAN country to become an official partner country, Indonesia presented 157 co-exhibitors from various fields according to the theme of Hannover Messe 2023 .

“We brought 157 co-exhibitors from the private sector, SOEs, industrial areas, as well as SEZs (special economic zones). We are involving all sectors, especially those related to industrial technology. According to the theme of Hannover Messe 2023, we choose the theme ‘Making Indonesia 4.0’,” said Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy Susiwijono Moegiarso.

One of the exhibitors displayed in the Indonesia Pavilion is the Nusantara Capital City (IKN). Secretary of the IKN Authority Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwijaya in his statement said that IKN displayed three themes in the Hannover Messe 2023, namely green economy, sustainable economy, and automatic mobility.

“We present areas around the epicenter of the IKN which is targeted to be completed for physical development in 2024. So in 2024 we can enter the first phase, including the transfer from the current capital to the new capital. The President has planned to carry out independence day ceremony in the National Plaza area,” said Santos.

He also expressed hope that IKN’s participation as one of the participants in the world’s largest industrial exhibition can attract the technology industry players to invest and work together in developing IKN.

“Aside from various vendors around the world, we also hope to work with technology vendors from Indonesia who are present at the Hannover Messe,” Santos added.

Meanwhile, the Director of PT Akebono Brake Astra Indonesia Daniel Suryananta also expressed hope that his company’s participation in the Indonesian Pavilion can help introduce its products in the vehicle component industry. Not only that, he also wanted to show that the industrial ecosystem in Indonesia had been well formed.

“Indonesia is not only the location of our factory, but also a country where great people work hard to create something very spectacular to keep up with current technological trends,” said Daniel.

Through the Hannover Messe 2023 Daniel also used this opportunity to see and study the latest industrial technology developments from a number of other participating countries. “So we can bring effective technology to Indonesia to increase the productivity of our company,” said Daniel.
