The second point Indonesia proposed was to establish a center for excellence and resilience on water and climate change issues.
“The third point is what is known as Integrated Water Resources Management, especially in small islands, which is of our importance since we have so many small islands and of the importance of small island developing countries” Tri further explained.
The last one is Indonesia will also put in efforts to realize 100 concrete projects on water which have been curated by Indonesian ministries, i.e., Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency, Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing.
Tri further said that the 10th WWF encourages values and activities which are different from the earlier forums.
“It is the first time in the history of World Water Forum since it was firstly held in Morocco, there will be a heads of state segment which is called High Level Meeting. It has been confirmed that the High-Level Meeting will be attended by representatives of 48 countries and international organizations,” he explained.
Additionally, for the first time in WWF history, a ministerial declaration will be made without negotiations, only in the form of consultation.
“Most importantly in the 10th WWF, not only the event that will be recalled as a very phenomenal event in the aspect of organization, but we also create a legacy resulting in a compendium. So, it will mention a number of projects curated by related Indonesian ministries/institutions,” Tri further explained.
