Indonesia plays an important role in encouraging global commitment to conduct water management, according to Minister of Communication and Informatics Budie Arie Setiadi.

“As the biggest archipelago state, Indonesia plays a strategic role to encourage global collaboration in developing holistic, comprehensive, and inclusive solutions. It is our responsibility to provide the best service for the press and the media to cover this forum optimally and happily,” the Minister said Sunday (05/19) at the Media Center, Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) 2, Badung, Bali.

The Minister also said that his Ministry was responsible for public communication, documentation, and promotion of the event.

To support media coverage activities, the Ministry, he added, has prepared media center cover that could accommodate 800 journalists and provide media needs such as press release, news, photos, videos, and social media contents.

Budi added that the media center also provides supporting facilities such as workstation areas, press conference areas, a one-on-one interview studio, shared newsroom of international broadcast center, a video village, media booths, as well as dining and relaxation areas.

On that occasion, Budi asked also for support from all media to make the 10th World Water Forum a success, while expressing hope that this event could provide benefits for present and future global water management.

“Our Ministry has also contributed for live broadcast as well as coverage by host broadcasters and host photographers on main events such as Balinese Water Purification Ceremony at Kura-Kura Bali yesterday, Delegation Arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport, Gala Dinner at GWK tonight, Opening Ceremony at BICC Nusa Dua, and Leaders Visit at Tahura Ngurah Rai. We hope that this forum can produce concrete and creative solutions in addressing global water issues,” he remarked. (TGH/DNS/UN) (GA/EP)
