President Prabowo Subianto meets President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin Palace on Monday (04/13).

President Prabowo Subianto Monday (04/13) discussed the strengthening of Indonesia-Russia strategic partnerships amidst rapidly changing global geopolitical dynamics with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow.

During the meeting, the President underscored the importance of increasingly intensive bilateral relations that have developed over the past months, noting that communication between the two countries has progressed in a productive and mutually beneficial manner.

“I have met many Russian delegates in Jakarta, and here in Moscow, I recently held talks with several Russian officials and Russian companies. I am very grateful that these dialogues have been highly productive,” he said.

The President also conveyed appreciation for Russia’s support of Indonesia’s strategic interests, including Indonesia’s accession to BRICS, noting that such support is an important factor in strengthening Indonesia’s position and standing in the international arena.

“In several matters that are highly important to Indonesia, President Putin has supported Indonesia’s needs,” he said.

The Head of State further stated that several of the cooperation agreements discussed have already led to significant developments across multiple sectors.

“Almost all sectors we agreed upon several months ago have seen rapid progress. We need to expedite one or two sectors, and I will personally follow up on that in the near future,” he said.

In addition to bilateral cooperation, President Prabowo Subianto also stressed the importance of strategic consultation with Russia in responding to global geopolitical developments, noting that Russia is an important partner that plays a constructive role in maintaining stability amid global uncertainty.

“I also came for a consultation because global geopolitics is evolving and changing rapidly. We believe that Russia has played a highly positive role in navigating fa geopolitical situation that is full of uncertainty,” he said.

President Prabowo Subianto also underscored Indonesia’s commitment to continually strengthening cooperation with Russia, especially in the economic and energy sectors, which serve as key pillars of relations between the two countries..

The President also said that stronger synergy in these sectors will generate tangible benefits for both countries and their peoples.

“We must continue to strengthen our cooperation, especially in economic and energy sectors,” he remarked.

The meeting at the Kremlin marks a new phase in Indonesia-Russia’s relations, making the partnership increasingly strategic, concrete, and responsive to today’s global challenges. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (DH/EP)
