President Prabowo Subianto, Wednesday (02/18), attended a roundtable session of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s business summit, in Washington DC during his working visit to the United States of America.
In his opening remarks, the President expressed his appreciation for being invited to the meeting and talking with businesspersons from both Indonesia and the United States.
“I am delighted to be here in Washington DC at this very important moment in the relationship between Indonesia and the United States. It is also a great honor for me to be invited here to be amongst you the business leaders of the US and Indonesia,” he said.
President Prabowo went on to say his visit to Washington DC was not only to strengthen economic partnership with the US but also to fulfill the invitation from President of the US Donald Trump for the Board of Peace’s (BoP) meeting.
The meeting, he added, is the BoP’s first official meeting to ensure the implementation and continuation of cease fire in Gaza.
On that occasion, President Prabowo also affirmed Indonesia’s commitment to keep calling for a real solution for Palestine.
“We are attempting to forge a path towards a real and lasting solution to the Palestinian issues,” he said.
For the record, President Prabowo’s participation in the Roundtable Business Summit reflects Indonesia’s comprehensive diplomatic approach by integrating national economic interests, strengthening investment, and taking an active role in maintaining global stability.
The forum is expected to open a new chapter in the Indonesia–the United States partnership, not only as trading partners but also as strategic partners in creating peace, stability, and shared prosperity. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/TM)
