Indonesia to Prioritize COVID-19 Handling in Three Provinces with High Number of Cases

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo instructed the COVID-19 National Task Force, Ministries, the Indonesian National Defense Force (TNI), and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to prioritize three provinces with high number of COVID-19 cases.

“They are East Java, South Sulawesi, and South Kalimantan,” President Jokowi said in his introductory remarks during a limited meeting, Thursday (4/6).

Furthermore, the President asked that this matter be given special attention so that the spread of the virus can be reduced even further.

Regarding one data system, the President said in Tuesday’s limited meeting that the one data management has begun to be improved.

The President expected that all data from laboratories and the Center for Health Research and Development in the regions can be updated in real-time for precise and accurate decision and policymaking. (FID/EN)
