Indonesia to Suspend Flights To and From Mainland China

Indonesia is temporarily suspend flights to and from mainland China starting Wednesday (5/2) at 12 p.m. local Indonesia time, Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi has announced.

“All foreigners arriving from mainland China and have been there for 14 days are temporarily not permitted to enter and transit in Indonesia,” the Minister said during a press conference at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Sunday (2/2).

On that occasion, Retno further said that the free-visa policy and visa on arrival service for Chinese citizens residing in mainland China are temporarily stopped.

“The Government also urged Indonesian citizens not to travel to mainland China,” Retno said.
