Indonesia, UAE Agree to Strengthen Cooperation in Various Sectors

President Jokowi holds a bilateral meeting with President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Wednesday (07/17) (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/Muchlis Jr)

Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) successfully agreed to significant bilateral cooperation in various sectors.

The agreements, announced Wednesday (07/17) during the bilateral meeting between President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) at Qasr al Watan in Abu Dhabi, UAE, are as follows.

  1. MoU between Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and Abu Dhabi-based private real estate investment and development company Eagle Hills on the Tourism Ecosystem Improvement through Cooperation with Assets of State-Owned Enterprises in Airport and Logistics, Hospitality, and Tourism Sectors.
  2. MoU between the international financial hub Dubai International Financial Centre Authority and the Nusantara National Capital Authority.
  3. MoU between the telecommunication and ICT service provider PT Indonesia Comnets Plus with the renewable energy company Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC-Masdar on the Joint Study of Solar Shingles in Indonesia.
  4. MoU between the Emirates Nuclear Energy Company and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) on the Cooperation on Nuclear Power Plant to Support the Nuclear Program in the UAE and Indonesia.
  5. MoU between the philanthropic endowment Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund and the Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment on the Construction Project of the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed – Joko Widodo International Mangrove Research Center in Bali, Indonesia.
  6. MoU between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Finance of the UAE on Public Finance Management.
  7. MoU between the central bank Bank of Indonesia and the Central Bank of the UAE on Payment System Cooperation.
  8. MoU on Defense Sector on the Maritime Patrol Aircraft and the Anti-Submarine Warfare. (BPMI/DNS) (AP/LW)
