The Indonesian Civil Servant Corps (KORPRI) commemorated 49 years of its journey in the difficult time of COVID-19 pandemic.

“I always hope that this pandemic will not become an obstacle, but instead become an opportunity and an event for KORPRI members to serve the motherland, provide the best service to the community, and participate in various efforts to break the chain of COVID-19 spread,” President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo stated in his official Facebook account to commemorate the 49th Anniversary of KORPRI, Sunday (29/11).

In line with that, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said that State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in all government agencies is the main engine driving the Government. The Government’s efforts to become a world-class government in 2024 are largely determined by the ability of ASN to transform and improve.

“The progress of the Indonesian nation is very much determined by how the State Civil Apparatus reforms itself to be more streamlined, more efficient, more productive, more reliable, and more capable to serve, whoever in the Government, to realize world-class government by 2024,” Pramono said.

In line with the theme of the anniversary, “KORPRI: Contribute, Serve and Unite the Nation”, Pramono also invited ASN to continue working for advanced Indonesia.

“I want to congratulate the ASN in this commemoration of KORPRI. Hopefully, ASN will consistently be stronger, more valuable, more useful, more beneficial for the life of the nation and state. Let’s work for advanced Indonesia,” he said. (MAY/UN) (FI/MMB)
