The Indonesian tactical vehicle and presidential car, Maung MV3 Garuda Limousine, stole the spotlight at the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, the Philippines, on May 7-8.

Arriving in Cebu via the Indonesian Air Force’s Airbus A400M on Monday (05/04), the vehicle was shipped to facilitate President Prabowo Subianto’s mobility throughout the summit. This delivery highlights the nation’s logistics readiness and confidence in its domestic defense industry.

The exclusively designed white car is the newest Maung model by state-owned defense equipment manufacturer PT Pindad. It was specifically developed using the MV3 platform as the President and Vice President’s official vehicle, with high safety, comfort, and performance standards.

According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Maung serves as more than the President’s operational vehicle at the international forum.

“The use of the Maung at this international forum is not merely a means of transportation, but a symbol of independence, national confidence, and advancement of Indonesia’s national industry. The Maung has become a symbol of diplomacy. From Indonesia, for Indonesia, at a world stage,” he said in a written statement on Thursday (05/07).

Following the conclusion of the summit, Maung MV3 Garuda Limousine was shipped back home using the same aircraft. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (DH/LW)
