Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Good morning,
May peace and prosperity be upon us all,
Honorable Vice President and Cabinet Ministers,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

In this Plenary Cabinet Meeting, we will discuss the 2020 Government Work Plan (RKP) and macroeconomic and fiscal policies in 2020.

There are several things I would like to highlight in this meeting. First, we must continue our technocratic work in a sustainable manner despite the upcoming legislative and presidential election. The drafting process of the 2020 RKP as well as macroeconomic and fiscal policies for 2020 should be completed as the basis for the 2020 State Budget Draft in accordance with the technocratic National Medium?Term Development Plan (RPJMN) that is being finalized at the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).

Second, in order to maintain the sustainability of national development, human capital development must be prioritized in 2020, following the human capital development conducted in 2019.

Third, I want to remind you that this year, and next year, we must anticipate the rapidly-changing global economy related to the normalization of monetary policy in the United States, fluctuations in commodity prices, trade wars and protectionism, moderate growth in China, as well as the security and geopolitics of the world.

Finally, we must also continue to maintain the momentum of our positive economic growth. I always say that the State Budget has its own limitations. Thus, innovation and synergy with private sector should be built through increased investment and exports. Various reforms to increase investment and exports must continue to be rolled out to build trust from business entities in order to create maximum benefits, provide jobs, and overcome unemployment.

I think that is my introductory remarks for today.
I thank you.
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.(Public Relation Division of Cabinet Secretariat)(RI/AW/YM/Naster)
