Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Good Morning,

May prosperity be upon us all.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The report I received from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) shows that the La Nina phenomenon is predicted to cause an increase in the accumulated amount of monthly rainfall in Indonesia by 20 to 40 percent above normal.

Therefore, we need to prepare measures to anticipate the possibility of hydro-meteorological disasters and also the impact of the La Nina on agricultural production, fisheries sector and also the transportation sector because 20 to 40 percent is not a small increase.

And I also demand that the information on weather changes must be disseminated as quickly as possible to all provinces and regions, so that the public are aware of any information, including the increase of monthly rainfall in the future.

That concludes my introductory remarks.
