Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Good afternoon,

May prosperity be upon us all

Om swastiastu.

Honorable Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia

Ladies and Gentleman attending the cabinet plenary meeting today.

Firstly, on the 2024 Government Work Plan (RKP), I would like to ask Minister of Finance to explain in detail about this. The most important thing is not to let any development or program hindered in 2024, so we have to complete all of them by 2024.

Secondly, issues on state civil apparatus and bureaucratic reforms. The essence of bureaucratic reform is that the people are served in an effective and accountable manner.

From the comments I have heard directly and read in the social media, due to the issues at the Tax and Customs offices, I am truly aware of people’s disappointment towards our apparatus, and also the Government. Beware of issues not only concerning the tax and customs offices, but also the Police and other law enforcement institutions, and other bureaucratic institutions.

In my opinion, people disappointment came as no surprise because the services are considered poor, and also the apparatuses behave arrogantly and hedonistically, they flaunt power and wealth.

Therefore, I ask all Ministers and Heads of Agencies to discipline their apparatuses and remind them of the do’s and don’ts.

Then, in the Indonesian Police, the Attorney General’s Office, and other law enforcement institutions, please do carry out an internal improvement before enforcing law for other ministries and agencies. Once again, I would like to emphasize to all of us [and] our personnel, do not flaunt power, do not flaunt wealth, and do not flaunt on Instagram or social media. It is very inappropriate for  bureaucratic apparatus to do that.

That concludes my remarks.
