Introductory Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia before the Limited Cabinet Meeting on Government’s Work Plan, Financial Note, and the Government Statement on the Bill on the State Budget for the 2025 Fiscal Year, at Presidential Office, Jakarta, August 5, 2024

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

May prosperity be upon us all,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today, we will discuss the Government Statement on the Bill on the State Budget for the 2025 Fiscal Year (RAPBN 2025), and I want the plan of RAPBN 2025 accommodate all the programs of the President-elect. However, most importantly, we must anticipate the risks of global economic slowdown, be it related to interest rate or the intensity of geopolitical situation, which will possibly give impacts to the food crisis and oil price increase. Thirdly, optimize measures of improving the target of the state revenue. At this point, I want to take notice of the ease of investment and the ease of exported products. Fourthly, it is better that we sharpen our focus in the RAPBN 2025, instead of trying to do all things.
