Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
The eruption of Mount Ruang in North Sulawesi province, which occurred from April 16 to 30, has displaced approximately 9,000 people, caused 12,000 residents to be evacuated, and forced the airport to shut down.

This afternoon, we will first resolve matters concerning evacuees. Due to existing spatial planning, they cannot return to their original locations, so relocation for settlement must be expedited. In addition to land affairs, we will also address housing and work-related matters.

I believe the data collection of residents willing to be relocated has been completed. It is important to ensure that the intended locations are clear and clean. Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning should thoroughly inspect these locations. Additionally, attention should be given to funding for infrastructure development and assistance schemes during the relocation process. It is crucial to identify any damaged buildings and affected infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, or bridges, and calculate the budget required.

This concludes my remarks. Thank you.

Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh.
