Your Excellency President Emomali Rahmon as well as delegates from Tajikistan,
It is an honor for me and the people of Indonesia to receive the visit of President Emomali Rahmon today. It is the Presidents third visit since 2003.
My meeting with President Emomali Rahmon was very productive and friendly. We discussed the efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation in several sectors. First, to enhance security cooperation including counterterrorism and drug trafficking eradication. Second, to enhance economic cooperation and to initiate as well as to immediately follow up cooperation in textile industry and cotton processing.
We also shared ideas on regional and global strategic issues that become our common interest. Indonesia also welcome the signing of four cooperation documents concerning visa exemption, counterterrorism, intelligence information exchange in financial sector particularly those of money laundering as well as terrorism financing, and diplomatic education and training.
