Keep the Spirit Up, President Jokowi Tells Athletes at FISU World University Games

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Friday (07/28) Shangri-La Hotel, Chengdu, China, expressed support for athletes who will compete in the FISU World University Games.

The President also expressed appreciation for the participation of Indonesian athletes at the world university students’ sport competition.

“I am glad Indonesia can take part in the FISU University Games,” President Jokowi said, adding that the athletes will represent Indonesia on the international stage; thus, they must give their best during the event.

He also expressed hope that the athletes will deliver excellent results. “Keep the spirit up so that we can get the best results,” the President said.

For the record, the FISU World University Games, formerly called the Universiade, is an international multi-sport event organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). (BPMI/AIT) (EST/EP)
