Kulon Progo Regent Expected to Take Helm of Family Planning Agency

Kulon Progo Regent of Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Hasto Wardoyo is expected to fill the position of Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) that has been vacant for months.
“He holds a Doctoral Degree and has great communication skills, meaning that he can educate the public particularly on family planning program,” President Jokowi said after inaugurating Pandaan-Malang toll road in East Java province, Monday (13/5).
The President also expressed hope that the agencys performance will be better under his leadership.
The issue of Hasto Wardoyo as the new Head of BKKBN has recently gone viral on social media. In response to the issue, Hasto said that on Thursday (9/5) he received a message via WhatsApp from Director General of Disease Control and Prevention of Ministry of Health regarding his appointment.
