In a series of his working visit to Central Java, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and his entourage on Friday (30/8) visited the Gemilang Stadium, in Mertoyudan Subdistrict, Magelang Regency, Central Java, to distribute land certificates to 5,000 residents of Magelang Regency.

In his remarks, the President reminded the recipients to maintain and utilize land certificates that have been distributed for productive matters and accurate calculation is needed before using it as collateral to the bank.

“Normally, once you have the land certificate with you, then you use it as collateral to the bank. Make sure that you are able to make the installment payment every month. Otherwise, accurate calculation is needed,” said the President.

In the meantime, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning Sofyan Djalil said in his report that land certificates for the entire Central Java region would be completed no later than 2025 and could be accelerated to 2023 if the regional governments join hands to assist.

Insya Allah, God willing, based on reports from the National Land Agency (BPN), land certificate distribution in Central Java will be completed no later than 2025 and can be accelerated to 2023 if the regional governments join hands to assist,” Sofyan said.

In Magelang regency alone, there are still 475,000 parcels of land that have not been registered and this year the BPN has registered 60,000 parcels of land. (DID/AGG/ES)
