Children’s laughter filled the air among the amusement rides, while parents returned home carrying various necessities and gifts with grateful smiles during the people’s bazaar held at the National Monument (Monas) area, Jakarta, Saturday (03/28). The bazaar, instructed by President Prabowo Subianto, served not only as a place to purchase basic necessities but also as a platform for togetherness and joy for people from across Jakarta.

Happiness was also felt by residents who received attractive prizes. Afnila Wita, a resident of North Jakarta, expressed her gratitude after receiving a bicycle. “Thank God, I got a bicycle. It will be useful for my child to go to school,” she said. She also conveyed her appreciation for the program. “Alhamdulillah, thank you to the President. May all of this be beneficial for the community,” she added.

The festive atmosphere grew livelier with the presence of various amusement rides enjoyed by children. Ibrahim and Rahim from Tanah Abang shared their excitement in taking part in the event. “We played games. We played basketball and slides. It was really fun,” they said. In addition, they also enjoyed the food provided at the venue. “We already had chiki snacks and kabuli rice,” they noted.

The two had even arrived since midday to experience the entire series of activities. They also offered prayers for President Prabowo for organizing the event. “Thank you to our President, Mr. Prabowo. May he always be blessed with prosperity, good health, and a long life,” they said.

Meanwhile, Ati Fatimah, a resident of East Jakarta, felt the direct benefits of the bazaar for her family. Her children enjoyed various entertainment and prizes available at the venue. “The children joined the games, got dolls, snacks, and earlier we also took some food,” she said. According to her, the activity provided dual benefits. “It’s quite helpful, like going to Monas for recreation while also receiving gifts,” she remarked.

Overall, the people’s bazaar not only helped meet post-Eid needs but also created a shared experience of joy and togetherness for people from all walks of life. (BPMI of the Presidential Secretariat) (AY/TM)
