President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo called on members of the Indonesian Civil Servants Corps (KORPRI) to change their mindset from procedure-oriented to result-oriented.

“Apply result-oriented principles that can bring benefits for the people and the nation,” President Jokowi said in his remarks at the 2019 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of the KORPRI at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (26/2).

On that occasion, the President also thanked all KORPRI members for better service they provide to the community in the past four years.  “We can do it as long as we want,” he said.

President Jokowi also reminded the civil servants that they must quickly respond to the fast-paced changes. “If we do not respond to the change, we will be left behind,” he added.

Furthermore, President Jokowi stressed that all civil servants are expected to improve their service quality to the community by means of getting close to them. “By monitoring the situation firsthand on the ground, we can understand the problem. Do not get stuck in administrative things. Please ensure that the service can be felt by the community,” he said. (DND/AGG/ES)
