Minister Calls on Industry Practitioners to Teach at Universities

Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim Friday (06/03) launched Episode Twenty of “Merdeka Belajar” (Freedom to Learn) Program: Practitioner-teachers.

Through this program, the Minister called on industry practitioners to visit universities to give lecturer to students and lecturers.

“Through collaboration between practitioners and lecturers, we will provide a learning environment that is more collaborative and participative,” Nadiem said.

According to Nadiem, the program will bring improvement to the learning system at universities so students can learn updated case-study methods, apply knowledge and theories learned to face problems, and improve their soft skills through teamwork.

“I am urging all universities and competent industry practitioners to participate in this “Praktisi Mengajar” (Practitioner-teachers) Program,” Nadiem added.
