Minister of State-owned Enterprises Erick Thohir attended the 2024 Electronic Based Government System (SPBE) Summit and the Launch of Govtech Indonesia which was held at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday (05/27).

He stated that this marked a significant milestone in digital transformation and integration of national digital services.

“Through Presidential Regulation Number 82 of 2023 on the Accelerated Digital Transformation and Integrated National Digital Services, we have been given the mandate to be able to carry out the Government’s assignment as organizers of the SPBE Prioritas or Govtech Indonesia application,” he said.

Erick Thohir said that cooperation between ministries/institutions is very important in accelerating digital transformation with encouragement and commitment from all parties. This launch is the first step for Govtech for Indonesia.

“Thanks to the encouragement and cooperation among ministries, through hundreds of meetings, today we finally launch the Govtech itself,” he said.

Erick Thohir expressed gratitude to all those who have collaborated and played an active role in advancing this Govtech initiative.

The Minister will prioritize user-friendly applications so that users and measurable integration in integrated and transparent business processes can make Govtech a success in Indonesia.

“We will endeavor to ensure that the application is user friendly, so that it is easy for people to use the system, and also this is an improvement in business processes that are integrated, transparent and measurable, because the Minister of Finance always says everything must be measurable, transparent so that all the programs the Government launched can be right on target and do not spark debate among public,” he said.

Erick Thohir said that he will realize the plan and not just make it merely a slogan. He will make public services real and useful for the community to become good government.

“This launch is the first step for us and we have to continue to work hard over the next few months to achieve the target: to make a system that is useful by the public,” he remarked. (KSK/ABD) (EST/MUR)
