Minister of State Secretary Pratikno Tuesday (08/01) inaugurated the electrical infrastructure project at the Presidential Palace.

In his remarks, Pratikno said that prior to the revitalization, the electrical infrastructure at the palace had never experienced significant improvement for 63 years.

“This palace is a place for very important state documents and valuable works of art. Thus, it’s not just a problem of electricity. In fact, it has something to do with many other things, including Indonesia’s reputation on the global stage,” he said.

The Minister also applauded state electricity company PT PLN for supporting the revitalization project using modern and environmentally friendly technology.

Pratikno went on to say that public infrastructure with modern and environmentally friendly technology will also be applied in the construction of electricity systems across the nation, including in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN).

“This is a new prototype of our modern electricity infrastructure. We aim to emulate and improve it for the IKN development and major public infrastructure project in Indonesia,” Pratikno said.

For the record, the revitalization project provides 6 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) power for electricity in the Merdeka Palace, State Palace, and its surrounding areas.  (MAY/UN) (RI/EP)
