Minister: No Provinces Outside Java-Bali Implementing PPKM Level 4, Level 3

None of the 27 provinces outside Java and Bali islands implementing public activity restrictions (PPKM) level 4 and 3, 21 provinces are at level 2, and 6 provinces are at level 1, according to Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto.

“As for regencies/cities, there are 3 regencies/cities with level 3 assessment, 0 regencies/cities at level 4, 248 regencies/cities at level 1, while Central Sumba, Bangka, and Teluk Bintuni at level 3,” the Minister said in a press statement after attending a virtual limited meeting on the evaluation of public activity restrictions (PPKM), Monday (12/13).

On that occasion, Airlangga revealed that the Government has issued Instruction of Minister of Home Affairs Number 66 of 2021 on Prevention and Handle of COVID-19 during Christmas and New Year Celebration.

The Instruction regulates that travellers are individuals who are fully-vaccinated, operational hours of public places are limited until 10 p.m. local time with  a maximum capacity of 75 percent and they must also use PeduliLindungi surveillance app.

“Regarding vaccination rates in regions outside Java, the first dose rate is still below 50 percent, including North Maluku, Central Sulawesi, West Papua, Maluku, Southeast Sulawesi, Aceh, and Papua. The President ordered acceleration of vaccination progress,” Airlangga said.

Related to the implementation of vaccine booster shots, he added, the Government will continue to explore more information about the booster.

Nevertheless, Ministry of Health has issued Ministerial Decree on Regulations related to Sinovac-CoronaVac vaccine and the service tariffs. In addition, the Indonesian Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) has also prepared a similar booster evaluation.

“We will prepare detailed information regarding time and service places available for the booster as directed by the President,” he said.

Regarding the National Economic Recovery (PEN), Airlangga said that currently the realization has reached 69.8 percent in total.

“Health cluster reached Rp143.29 trillion (66 percent), Social Protection reached Rp125 trillion (81 percent), Priority Program Rp83.64 trillion (70.9 percent), MSMEs and Corporate Support Rp77.73 trillion (48 percent), and Health Incentives reached Rp62.86 trillion,” he remarked.
