In order to facilitate the registration of COVID-19 vaccination, Ministry of Health has provided a WhatsApp chatbot service.

Currently, the registration service is only available for medical workers. Through the service, they can make appointment to get vaccinated at the closest healthcare facilities. Afterwards, they will receive confirmation regarding time and place for vaccination.

WhatsApp’s Vice President of Global Policy and Communications Victoria Grand said that cooperation between the company and the Indonesian Government in using WhatsApp chatbot for vaccination program is the first in history. She ensured that data collected in that process is highly secured.

“We hope to provide a safe and easy registration process for medical workers who are on the frontline in the fight against COVID-19 during the past year,” Grand said on Friday (15/1).

For registration process, recipients of the COVID-19 vaccine are required to send key word ‘vaksin’ to the chatbot number 081110500567. Afterwards, they need to fill in six last digits of their identification number in order to be directed to healthcare facilities where they will receive the vaccine. The next step is to answer health screening questions and confirm their health condition. They will receive the schedule for vaccination along with a QR code and a video on how vaccine works.

Health workers can also visit pedulilindungi.id website to check whether their names have been registered in the system. If they are not registered yet, they are requested to submit their personal data to email address vaksin@pedulilindungi.id.

For the record, the Ministry also provides helpline at *119# and hotline at 119 Ext 9. (MINISTRY OF HEALTH PR/UN) (RAS/MMB)
