More than 200 Tons of Seized Drugs Destroyed at National Police Headquarters

President Prabowo Subianto, Wednesday (10/29), led the destruction of 214.84 tons of confiscated drugs worth Rp29.37 trillion, which have been secured during President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. The event taking place at the Indonesian National Police (Polri) Headquarters, Jakarta, reaffirmed the Government’s strong commitment in combating drug abuse and trafficking that can destroy future generations.

On that occasion, President Prabowo directly inspected the evidence from drug cases uncovered during the period from October 2024 to October 21, 2025, which amounted to 214.84 tons. During the destruction process, sample testing and verification of the evidence were also carried out by the Indonesian National Police Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) team before all the evidence was destroyed. The President also personally destroyed several pieces of drug evidence using an incinerator.

In his remarks, President Prabowo expressed his appreciation to all personnel of the National Police for their dedication in combating drug trafficking in the country.

“All threats to the nation and the state be it physical, military, psychological, or political threats, including the threat of drugs are serious and happening before our very eyes. Drugs destroy the future of the nation,” he said.

From drug operation, it is estimated that around 629,934,661 million lives have been saved from the dangers of drug abuse, with the total value of seized evidence amounting Rp29,366,331,860,000.

In his report, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that the Polri remains committed to carrying out comprehensive drug eradication efforts from upstream to downstream.
