Newly-appointed Deputy Governor of Bengkulu Calls for Synergy
President Joko ”Jokowi” Widodo on Wednesday (25/9) at the State Palace, Jakarta inaugurated Dedy Ermansyah as Deputy Governor of Bengkulu for the remaining term of 2016-2021.
After the inauguration, the newly-appointed Deputy Governor stated that he will support and strive for the success of programs initiated by Governor of Bengkulu, Rohidin Mersyah.
“We only had casual conversation before, but after this inauguration I will have a discussion with him about priority programs in the province,” Dedy told reporters.
For the record, Dedy is appointed as the deputy governor after Rohidin, the former deputy governor, replaced former Governor Ridwan Mukti who resigned from his position due to bribery case.
Dedy asserted that synergy between regional government and Central Government is really important for the implementation of programs initiated by Regional Government of Bengkulu Province. “We must synergize with the Central Government,” he added.
The inauguration started by handing over the excerpt of the Presidential Decree to the Deputy Governor by President Jokowi. Then the President, Minister of Home Affairs, followed by the Deputy Governor marched from the Merdeka Palace to the State Palace.
The ceremony followed by reverberating the National Anthem Indonesia Raya. Afterwards, high-ranking officials attending the event including Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Chairperson of the Presidential Advisory Board (Wantimpres) Ari Adiningsih, and Presidential Special Staff Lenys Kagoya congratulated the newly-appointed Deputy Governor.
