NLE Simplifies Procedures, Generates Cost Efficiency: Coordinating Minister

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan delivers a statement in a press conference on the National Logistics Ecosystem, Thursday (24/9).

The National Logistic Ecosystem (NLE) has generated Rp 1.5 trillion worth of cost efficiency in Batam area and simplified the procedures.

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan delivered the statement during a virtual press conference on the National Logistics Ecosystem, Thursday (24/9).

Luhut said that the Government will maintain supervision on simplification of mooring operation, as well as loading and unloading process.

In the meantime, Minister of Trade Agus Suparmanto expressed supports the NLE program. The implementation of the NLE, he added, will speed up the export-import process and synchronize flow of goods with flow of documents.

“(The NLE) will increase productivity and also the value of exports and imports. It will simplify the process on goods arrival, goods transport, and procedures in warehouse,” Agus said.

Agus further said that Ministry of Trade will simplify the service process in terms of international and domestic trade and will optimize the implementation of other policies in the trade sector to support the implementation of national logistics efficiency. (MAY/EN)
