On Mother’s Day: Mother is Everything, Cabinet Secretary Says

Mother is a person who always gives inspirations, strength and prayers to their children so that we can be who we are today, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung has said.

“Mother is everything,” he said.

According to Pramono, a person’s success in their careers and family life cannot be separated from their mother’s prayers.

He went on to say that numerous mothers these days pursue their career and the people should no longer distinguish the role of women and men at work.

The Government, he added, has also provided similar opportunities for both women and men.

Indonesia, he continued, has had a female President and a female House of Representatives’ speaker, while even the United States as the largest democratic country has not.

“It means that women have similar opportunity in the Government or in business sector. It also proves that Indonesian women are superior, tough, and hardworking,” Pramono said.

Therefore, Pramono underlined that the opportunities should not be wasted, while reminding that education is very important to achieve any position whether in the family, in business, or in the government sector.

“We are fortunate that Indonesian women can enjoy the same opportunity. Do not afraid to reach your dreams,” Pramono said, adding that Indonesia will advance if only all women are empowered. (RSF / RAH / ES)
