Papua’s State Polytechnic of Fakfak Launches Center for Business and Technology

Presidential Special Staff attends the inauguration of the Incubation Center for Business and Technology (IBT) at State Polytechnic of Fakfak in West Papua province (01/22).

State Polytechnic of Fakfak in West Papua province Thursday (01/22) launched the Incubation Center for Business and Technology called Krakiminah.

Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Makam expressed appreciation for the launching of the Incubation Center.

“I’d like to express my gratitude and appreciation for the development and the launching of the Incubation Center for Business and Technology at the State Polytechnic of Fakfak that aims to support young entrepreneurs in Papua and the philosophy of Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn). It is also a pride to be the first and the only polytechnic in Papua that has an incubation center,” the Minister states in his remarks online.

In the meantime, Presidential Special Staff Billy who attended at the moment also expressed appreciation.

With the launch of the IBT Krakiminah, according to Billy, it is expected that new young entrepreneurs will emerge in Fakfak regency and  in West Papua province and is also expected to bring impacts on providing job opportunities.

Billy also  expressed commitment to the advancement of the IBT Kraminiah.

“As an advisor of the IBT Krakiminah of the State Polytechnic of Fakfak, I will keep giving directives and call on the IBT to synergize with other universities in eastern, central, western of Indonesia,” Billy said.

Billy also delivered greetings from President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to everyone in Fakfak regency and Papua.

“President Jokowi said that the development of the Educational Institutions will remain a priority for the development of Papuan human resources in order to boost development in Papua and West Papua provinces,” Billy added.

Meanwhile, Director of State Polytechnic of Fakfak Muhammad Subhan expressed readiness to support the Government’s programs, not only in Fakfak regency and Papua province but also in all over Indonesia.

“State Polytechnic of Fakfak will support business and technology development based on local support from Fakfak and Papua. At the same time, we are also launching several facilities, including nutmeg resistance laboratory and exhibition room,” Subhan remarked.
