PEN Program Realization Reaches 95.13 Trillion as of June 2022

Budget realization for COVID-19 handling and national economic recovery through the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program has reached Rp95.13 trillion.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto revealed it in his press statement at the Presidential Office in Jakarta on Monday (06/13) after attending Limited Cabinet Meeting on social activities restrictions (PPKM) led by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.

“It has also been reported that realization of national economic recovery budget has reached 20.9 percent or amounting to Rp95.13 trillion of Rp455.62 trillion,” Airlangga said.

The Coordinating Minister also elaborated that the budget realization for health’s handling cluster has reached Rp24.46 trillion or 20 percent of the budget allocation.

“Budget realization includes health workers’ claim, tax incentive of vaccines and medical devices, and also related to the procurement of vaccines and Village Budget,” he said.

Meanwhile, budget realization of social security cluster has reached Rp55.85 trillion or 36.1 percent of the allocation.

“It includes, among others, the Family Hope Program (PKH), basic food card, the Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for Cooking Oil, BLT for Village, BLT for Street Vendors, Kiosks, and Fishermen (BLT PKLWN), and Pre-Employment Card,” he said.

Moreover, economic recovery strenghtening cluster has realized budget amounting to Rp14.83 trillion or 8.3 percent of the allocation.

“It covers, among others, tourism sector, support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM), and tax facilities,” he remarked. (FID/UN)(AW/EP)
