PM Modi Praises President Prabowo’s Leadership, Calls Visit to Indonesia Extraordinary

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi expressed appreciation for the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto in the restoration of the Prambanan Temple Compound.

PM Modi delivered the appreciative remarks during a joint press conference with President Prabowo in Sleman regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Wednesday (07/08).

PM Modi said that President Prabowo has strong strategic planning capabilities. He expressed confidence that the restoration work will be carried out effectively and can be completed ahead of the target schedule.

“Today, I would like to convey that President Prabowo, who is also a soldier, understands how to plan. Therefore, when he planned this restoration, there was a clear strategy. Based on that planning, I am confident this restoration work will be completed ahead of schedule,” said PM Modi.

In addition to the discussion on the restoration, PM Modi also shared his profound impressions of his three-day state visit to Indonesia. According to him, the warm reception extended by President Prabowo, the hospitality of the people, and Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage left a deep impression.

“From the moment I arrived until now, as I am about to depart, President Prabowo has made time for me and spent a lot of his time with me,” he said.

PM Modi noted that the entire series of activities during his visit had been prepared with great care, reflecting the closeness of the friendship between the two countries.

“Every aspect of my visit and program has been very well planned. The attention to detail given by President Prabowo to every element of my agenda, as well as the outstanding implementation, truly left me in awe and at a loss for words,” he added.

Concluding his remarks, PM Modi reiterated his appreciation for the warm reception extended to him and the Indian delegation. He emphasized that the warmth and hospitality he received will remain a highly meaningful memory for the people of India.

“As a close friend, I wish to convey my sincere gratitude, not only on my own behalf but also on behalf of 1.4 billion people of India, for the extraordinary reception extended to me and my delegation, as well as for the warmth, friendship, and affection that have been shown,” he said.
