Prabowo Optimistic about President Jokowi’s Development Strategies

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Wednesday (1/1) at Gedung Agung Palace in Yogyakarta province hosted Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto.

The President was accompanied by his son Kaesang Pangarep, while Prabowo was accompanied by his son Didit Hedyprasetyo.

According to the President, he discussed a host of issues with Prabowo, particularly related to national and state affairs.

“We talked a lot about several issues, from family matters to national and state affairs,” the President told reporters after the meeting.

Meanwhile, Prabowo also reported to the President regarding the development of issues on defense. “The President and I will discuss some issues in detail in the near future,” he said, adding that the President has devised strategic moves that he has to synchronize with.

Prabowo – the President’s erstwhile opponent at the 2019 presidential election – also expressed optimism that through collective work, fruitful results can be achieved. (UN/BPMI/ES)
