Pramono Anung Bids Farewell to Cabinet Secretariat Personnel
Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung Friday (20/09) bid farewell to the officials and employees of Cabinet Secretariat at Krida Bhakti building of Ministry of State Secretariat, Central Jakarta.
In his press statement, Pramono Anung said he asked President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to approve his resignation letter after the declaration of the candidate for Governor of the special capital region of Jakarta.
“I asked for his approval on September 22 since that date is the declaration day. I don’t want to be a burden in the office when I have been appointed (as a candidate for Jakarta Governor),” Pramono said, adding that Minister of State Secretary Pratikno will replace him as acting Cabinet Secretary.
Pramono went on to say that he still has a very good relationship with President Jokowi and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.
“Still, when the President’s relation with the party that is close to me has differences, I still maintain good and open communication with him,” he said.
The Cabinet Secretary also underscored his commitment to maintaining integrity.
“I have never wanted to talk to outsiders during my tenure, especially off-the-record talks with journalists,” Pramono added.
Pramono also stated that all work processes that require his approval are completed according to applicable provisions and mechanisms.
“In fact, the system has been running well. Although there are several regulations of minister/head of institutions that still require approval,” the Cabinet Secretary remarked. (KS/ABD) (GWH/LW)
