During a working meeting with Commission II of the House of Representatives (DPR) – overseeing home affairs – in Jakarta, Wednesday (11/13), Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung explained his duties in providing cabinet management support for the President and the Vice President.

According to him, one of the roles is his position as Secretary of the Final Assessment Team (TPA) for all echelon one positions.

Meanwhile, the President serves as chairman of the team, Vice President as the deputy chairman, and Minister of State Secretary, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms (PANRB), Head of State Intelligence Agency (BIN) and Head of the National Civil Servant Agency (BKN) as members, he added.

“Secretary of the TPA is tasked to determine the appointment of Chairman as well as commissioner of state-owned enterprises,” Pramono said, adding that during his term, not even a single decision was leaked before the official announcement was made.

Pramono also acknowledged that his position as Cabinet Secretary is quite challenging since both President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin have a very tight agenda which he must follow.
