President Jokowi Inspects Vaccination Drive for Students in Pesawaran Regency

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inspected COVID-19 vaccination drive for students that took place at SMPN 1 Tataan (State Junior High School) in Pesawaran regency, Lampung province, on Thursday (02/09).

This vaccination drive aims to target 1,000 students to get vaccinated.

“Today, I inspect vaccination drive for approximately 1,000 students in Pesawaran regency. I noticed that everything [Vaccination at the school] run well,” said the President.

Through this vaccination, President Jokowi expressed his hopes that all students in the region can immediately carry out face-to-face learning and be protected from the spread of COVID-19.

“It is our hope that our students can immediately carry out face-to-face learning and get extra protection from COVID-19 so that it can curb the spread of COVID-19 at schools which students have been vaccinated,” added the President.

On that occasion, Regent of Pesawaran Dendi Ramadhona expressed his gratitude for the implementation of vaccination drive for students rolled out by the Government.

“On behalf of the regional government of Pesawaran, people in Pesawaran regency, especially students, teachers, and students’ parents in the region, I would like to express my gratitude for today’s vaccination drive for students,” said Dandi.

Furthermore, Dendi expected that the vaccination can be speeded up considering face-to-face learning will immediately begin, adding that, he also warmly welcomed the Government’s plan to allocate more vaccine doses to support vaccination drive for students in the region in order to be more prepared to carry out face-to-face learning at schools. (TGH/UN) (AP/LW)
