President Jokowi: Additional Collective Leaves Aim to Boost Economy

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (06/21) said that the additional collective leave for Eid al-Adha (Day of Sacrifice) aims to boost economy in regions.

The statement was made by the President after inspecting Parungpung market in Bogor regency, West Java province.

President Jokowi further said that the extension of collective leave also aims to boost tourism sector in regions.

“[It aims to boost] local tourism sector. After estimating it, we can announce it,” he remarked.

For the record, before announcing June 28 and June 30, 2023 as additional collective leaves, the Government has decided June 29, 2023 as a national holiday for Eid al-Adha. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (AP/LW)
