President Jokowi Also Feel Lose and Prays for the Families of AirAsia QZ8501 Passengers, May be Given Fortitude

President Jokowi dialogue with families of passengers and crew of AirAsia QZ8501, at Juanda Airport, Surabaya, Tuesday (30/12).

 After looking at the crash site location of the AirAsia QZ8501, in the waters of Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) fly directly to Juanda Airport, Surabaya, to meet  the families of passengers and crew.

President who was accompanied by the Governor of East Java, Soekarwo and Mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rimaharini, as well as the AirAsia CEO Tony Ferandez, meet directly families of passengers and crew who since Sunday (28/12), waiting for confirmation about the fate of their families who boarded of the AirAsia QZ8501 from Surabaya to Singapore, Sunday (28/12) morning.

In a press conference held after the closed meeting, President Jokowi offered condolences to the families of the passengers and crew, who suffered from the crash of the AirAsia QZ8501.

“To all families of passengers and crew once again I convey condolences on this tragedy,” said Jokowi softly.

According to President Jokowi, we all pray to God Almighty that the whole families are given courage and strength in facing of this tragedy.

President instructed to focus first in order the evacuation of passengers and crew. “We will focus on the evacuation as soon as possible,” said Jokowi answering reporters’ questions. (Humas Setkab/ES)
